ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is the single standard for labs doing test & Calibration work.
Labs that follow this standard demonstrate the capability of doing measurement testing or calibration at the standard level.
This means it shows confidence in the result of measurement.
But How can you get ISO 17025 accreditation?
There is different accreditation body in different counties which give labs confirmation of accreditation as per ISO/IEC 17025
For example, In the United Kingdom UKAS is the accreditation body of ISO 17025, DakkS for Germany & NABL for India.
What is NABL?
National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) is an accreditation body, with its accreditation system established in accordance with ISO/ IEC 17011.
“Conformity Assessment –Requirements for Accreditation bodies accrediting conformity assessment bodies.” NABL provides voluntary accreditation services to:
- Testing laboratories in accordance with ISO/ IEC 17025 ‘General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories
- Calibration laboratories in accordance with ISO/ IEC 17025 ‘General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories
